Eye contact: eye contact is a crucial element b/c it establishes a connection to the subject and viewer;
when the animal makes eye contact, it gives the photo intensity and interest
Control Vibrations: lay arm across barrel of a long telephoto lens to dampen vibrations; prevent vibrations from hurting your image and will give you sharper photos
Find animals by following the food; what they eat, where they hunt would be options of places to look; images of animals eating/hunting are exciting
Incorporate the environment; combine the wildlife by showing the natural habitat; gives context to an image by telling a larger story
Shoot Wide; try something new, substitute telephoto lens with a wider focal length; giving the photo a completely different feeling and atmosphere
Shoot fast and often; scenes are always changing, you might only have a short opportunity
Be Patient; unlike human models, animals aren't ready-to-go and posed; it may take hours, days, weeks to finally shoot the right moment
